At the core of our Quality Process
Previously known as the European Standard NEN-EN 15038, Translators International obtained this first certification in 2012. In 2015 the ISO 17100 for Translation Services came to replace the NEN-EN 15038 standard.
ISO 17100:2015 specifies requirements for all aspects of the translation process directly affecting the quality and delivery of translation services. It establishes the guidelines for:
- project management processes
- translation workflows
- qualification requirements for project managers
- qualification requirements for translators & revisers
- further development of the professionals involved
- resource management and other actions necessary for the delivery of a quality translation service.
All work carried out in compliance with ISO 17100 comprises translation and revision, i.e. review by a second qualified linguist.
However, because we aim to provide customers with a more competitive service, we also carry out Translation-Only work. In this case, the price comprises the thorough and properly executed translation by one linguist only. Translation-Only work still relays in professional ISO-approved resources specialized in the specific domain, and a final self-revision is performed in order to ensure quality requirements when it comes to semantic, grammatical or spelling correctness.
Regardless of the quality level chosen by the customer, all translations will include a final QA round by the project managers (Quality Assurance) in which the files will be verified for overall correctness before delivery.
